"Handmade in a Village" is a collection of handmade items sourced from artisans in towns and villages. By the time you see their products on these pages, their lives have already begun to change by having a buyer for their work. Your purchases will allow us to continue to buy from them and to and develop more relationships with more people who make beautiful things and live in very poor places. The first step in the "cycle of change" is to put money in the hands of women so they can provide for their families. Often their husbands work in agriculture and there is very little or no cash from their work.
The proceeds from your purchases help fund the work of Refuge International to provide medicine, nutrition, clean water, and education to people in need.
